Welcome to Panther Hoops!
Starting competitive Varsity play in 2002, Boys Basketball is the longest running sport at PACT Charter School. The Panthers play in the MSHSL in section 4A and compete in the the Minnesota Classic Athletic Association(MCAA) Conference.
The goal of Panther Basketball is to use basketball as a way to teach character qualities to help develop young men through the game of basketball in a fun and competitive environment. The Panthers have teams at the Varsity, Junior Varsity, Sophomore, Freshman, Middle School and Elementary levels started in 1st grade.

Meet the High School Coaches

Varsity Head Coach Joel Hedberg
Coach Hedberg is a 2008 PACT Graduate and former player, the 22-23 season will be his 8th season as Head Coach. Joel was a Varsity Captain at PACT and went on to play JUCO ball at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. His previous coaching jobs were C Team at PACT, assistant Coach at Anoka-Ramsey CC and varsity assistant at Kimball Area High School.
Sophomore Team Coach Tyler CowdenCoach Cowden is a 2021 PACT Graduate and 2 year varsity starter. This will be his second year on the coaching staff, he coached Middle School in 2022. Coach holds several school shooting records including three's in a game(9) and threes in a season(102).
Freshman Team Coach Jon Cannon
This is Coach Cannon's first year on staff. He has precious coaching experience working with both boys and girls middle school. He brings toughness and a defensive mentality to the staff.

Junior Varsity Coach Adam Wright
Coach Wright returns to coaching JV after coaching the C Team coach for 2 seasons. He has spend 5 of the past 7 season coaching either C Team or JV at PACT. He has also Coached AAU for the MN Comets. Coach plays semi-professionally with the Minneapolis Broncos. Coach enjoys working with kids to make them better individuals in society and loves working with kids to help them become the best versions of themselves.
Varsity Assistant Coach Mick HedbergCoach Hedberg is a 2010 PACT Graduate and former player, the 22-23 season will be his 8th season as assistant coach. Mick was a Varsity player on the 2010 PACT team that went 22-6 and lost in the sub-section finals. He helps the program in many ways and has a passion for connecting and motivating kids.
Middle School Coach Nick Jones
This is Coach Jones's first year on staff. He is PACT's Secondary Gym Teacher, and an asset to the staff with his relationships with the students.
